Now that my schedule is a bit more relaxed, I’ve been working my way through the suite of tests from Burlington VTest. The folks from Burlington were nice enough to provide a bunch of vouchers. I’ve so far worked through some of the tests designed for younger learners (VTest English for Schools: Ages 7-10 and VTest English for Schools: Ages 11-15). That isn’t a sort of testing I’m particularly knowledgeable about, but they seem nice enough. I really appreciate the clean user interface – that must be really important when working with young learners.
I’ll take the 4-skill “General English” and “Academic English” tests in the next week or so. Let me know if there is anything I might keep an eye out for. My vouchers are for the standard mode products without online proctoring, so I can’t talk about that aspect.
If anyone else in the testing world has a test you’d like me to try and write about, do get in touch. I’ll add it to the queue.
