Two weeks ago, you booked a room at the Gateway Hotel in Florida for a vacation you will take in the spring. Since then, your best friend Sarah has decided to join you on the trip. She has already purchased an airplane ticket, but has not yet reserved her own hotel room. She would like to stay at the same hotel as you.
Write an email to Gary Bembridge, the guest services manager at the hotel. In your email, do the following:
- Explain that your friend will join your vacation, and that she would like to stay in the hotel as well
- Request that the room be on the same floor as yours, if possible.
- Thank Gary for taking care of this as soon as possible since you will be arriving in Florida in just a few days.

Hello Mr. Bembridge
I’m writing to let you know that my friend Sarah will be joining me on my upcoming trip to Florida. She would like to stay with me at the Gateway Hotel, but hasn’t yet booked a room. Would it be possible for you to take care of her reservation? If possible, we would like to stay on the same floor. As you know, I will be arriving in Florida in just a few days, so I hope you can handle Sarah’s reservation as soon as possible. If you are unable to find a room for Sarah, she’ll have to look around for a nearby hotel, but I hope we can avoid that.
Thanks for taking the time to help me with this, Gary. Sarah and I are both looking forward to our stay.
