There is a new podcast from ETS on Youtube called “TOEFL Sessions.” Hosted by John Clark, there are currently a couple of episodes featuring Spiros Papageorgiou (discussing TOEFL‘s listening section) and Larry Davis (discussing TOEFL’s writing section). I listened to both of them last week, while running along the mighty Anyang River.
I really enjoyed hearing Larry talk about some of the thinking that went into the design of TOEFL’s “Writing for Academic Discussion” task.
There is a huge amount of interest in this sort of stuff right now. I, for one, look forward to hearing more episodes of the podcast.
My advice is, as always, to get this podcast into a feed that can be accessed via Spotify (or whatever). Few people like to consume this kind of content via video.
