The Princeton Packet reports that there will be a public hearing on May 19 to discuss the rezoning of parts of the ETS campus in Lawrence Township.

Says the Packet:

“The Neighborhood-1 Overlay District would permit up to 800 housing units in an inclusionary development on approximately 80 acres of the 355-acre campus, north of ETS Drive. An inclusionary development is a mixture of 80% market rate units and 20% affordable housing units earmarked for low- and moderate-income households.

The land north of ETS Drive, which is the loop road through the campus from Rosedale Road to Carter Road, contains several vacant office buildings. The land south of ETS Drive, which contains three occupied office buildings and the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center, will not be rezoned.”

And:

“The development would incorporate a mix of housing types and sizes. It may include townhouses, apartments, stacked townhouses, single-family homes and semi-detached or duplex homes. The goal is to provide opportunities for a variety of new households and for existing residents to stay in the township as their needs change – including a minimum of 15% of the units to be age-restricted housing.”

If anyone can find me a copy of the ordinance which will be discussed on May 19, do let me know.  It isn’t available on the township’s website yet.
