The Daily Chosun reports that students have been cheating on the TOPIK, a test of Korean proficiency.

This is, of course, a test that is available only at test centers.

The journalist covering this story suggests that the cheating might be due to time zone differences leading to question leaks. But since the TOPIK has both paper and computer-delivered options, it might just be the result of security failures that give certain bad apples a peek at the test forms ahead of time.

A few days ago I spoke to an analyst who is interested in how the HOELT tender might turn out. He asked me about the possibility of a bunch of people getting into the UK after cheating on a remote English test. I reminded him that there are already a bunch of people getting into the UK after cheating on on-site tests.
